An open mic night for Washington filmmakers!

Need feedback on your latest masterpiece? Got a weird project burning a hole in your hard drive? Searching for a place where strangers will watch videos of your dog? Open Screen is the place to be!

Bring your film or video on a thumb drive. Anything under ten minutes goes up! Films screen on a first-come, first-screen basis, so get here early!

Head over to the pub afterward to socialize with other filmmakers!

Please bring videos on a standard Windows or Mac-compatible thumb drive.

Preferred format: MP4 or MOV files, compressed H.264

Ideal video specs:

Resolution: 1080p or 720p

Frame Rates: 23.976, 24, 29.97, 30, 59.94, or 60

Subtitles (optional): Superimposed on the video

We will try to accommodate all video formats, but if we are unable to play a video, we will skip it.

A one-person comedy about growing up queer in an immigrant household. Combining stand-up, storytelling, and pop anthems. A story about finding your voice and living unapologetically.

Seattle-based comedian and overall beautiful person Molina Molina (Bumbershoot, San Francisco Sketchfest) bids adieu to this chapter of her standup comedy career with a bitter-funny farewell show, featuring fellow comics Juno Men (August 14th) and Lindsey Anderson (August 15th). Molina has made a name for herself as a prominent voice in the Seattle comedy scene, performing and producing several shows across the city with her absurdist wit and delusional charm. Don't miss out on witnessing this Seattle icon before she goes!

Come on down to Seattle Open Arts Place to behold an overload of sketch comedy mayhem!

Each team is given a time limit and NO RULES! Anything goes, and teams are encouraged to get wacky, experimental, and to bust out some never-before-performed sketches just for you! We’ll make you laugh, make you cry (from laughing), and maybe even cause your humor chip to short-circuit!

The Tonight Jone is a surrealist comedy talk show hosted by Seattle standup comedians Jone Dehuff and Gavyn Rings featuring live standup comedy, sketch comedy, and live music performances by local bands. The Tonight Jone, which has been featured at several venues across the Pacific Northwest, following a notable run at the Crocodiles downstairs venue; the Here-After, is now being featured on August 27th at 7:30 at the Seattle Open Arts Place.
